IGNITION COIL TESTER

BRAND NEW PRODUCT POWERCYCLE IGNITION COIL TESTER

TESTS ALL TYPES OF COIL FROM 6 VOLTS TO 24 VOLT

A MUST FOR ALL MOTORCYCLE WORKSHOPS
BREAKERS AND DIY ENTHUSIASTS
ONLY £95

The coil tester operates from a external 12 volt battery and the internal 9-volt battery

The coil tester is designed to produce an electrical pulse, which when connected to the low tension side of an ignition coil will make the coil operate as normal.
This is the quickest way to check a coil works on or off the bike or car!
The Coil Tester was designed and built in the UK exclusively for us.
After finding there was no product available capable of checking coils in this manner
we commissioned a UK electronics company to design and build one for us.
After thorough testing in our workshop we have refined the product and now sell
direct to the public and trade.

The pulse is high enough to operate 6V 12V and 24V coils.

To test for coil operation

Connect the two red leads from the coil tester to the primary connections (+/-low tension) on the ignition coil to be checked.

Please note the red output leads from the test unit can be connected to either polarity on the coil.

Press the test button on the coil tester and the red LED (located top/centre) will pulse and the coil will operate if functional.

FAULT FINDING WITH THE IGNITION COIL TESTER

Coil Open circuit (defective primary coil)

If the coil is open circuit the LED (top/centre) will stay lit when the test button is depressed and there will be no spark present with the HT leads earthed.

Coil open circuit Secondary HT coil

If the High Tension coil is defective the the coil tester LED (top/centre) will pulse but there will be no spark present at the end of the HT lead when earthed

Ensure the connections from the coil tester to the suspect coil are correct.

Check the condition of the HT lead, replace if necessary and retest.

If on re-testing with new HT lead there is no spark present, the coil is defective.

The green LED next to the test button shows battery ok and on. This should light up when the test button is depressed. If this fails to light replace battery.
